Meet the Coach
Fern Weis is, first and foremost, a wife and mother of two wonderful young adults, as well as a teacher and parent coach.
Fern has taught in both middle and high schools, making daily connections with teens and their parents. One of the most important lessons she learned is that there is more to teaching than preparing students for college -- it is preparation for life!
In addition, Fern's family participated in the family-based character education program of the Hyde School. Here they learned about, and incorporated into their family, principles such as truth over harmony, valuing attitude and effort over ability, seeing opportunities in life's challenges, and inspiring children through modeling these principles. Fern continues to give back to Hyde School as a volunteer facilitator of parent and family weekend seminars at the Woodstock, CT campus.
The transformational experience at Hyde changed her life. Her passion for working with parents and teens inspired her to pursue training as a Life Coach. It is her desire to help rediscover themselves, realize the vision they had for their family and inspire their children to be their best. Having lived through the empty nest and the return of adult children, she is also committed to helping parents prepare for these major transitions.
